Time
Some of the most prized photos of all time often utilize perfect timing as a tool to create narrative. Using timing as a visual language means consciously choosing just the right moment to trigger the shutter. A sense of timing is telling about how the photographer sees the moment. You can use short shutter speeds to create an effect of someone jumping in the air, or, you can keep long shutter speeds to create a slightly blurry but interesting effect. Time can be used as a narrative tool, to establish a mood or sentiment, or to communicate an invisible interaction between the photographer and their environment.
