Technically, there is not much to say, there are just some diagonals and use of frame. However, I really like the like the picture as it looks like a "typical" school made from bricks with a hill in the shot.
This is one of my favourite photos from the photoshoot as the photo leads the viewer's eyes to the big tree which is reflected in the lake. I tried to use low ISO to make the scene look eerie.
I really like this picture as the depth of field is good. I like the angle it is taken at and the reflection on the windows.
The photo has many diagonals and has leading lines, I tried to use a high ISO to make the school look bright. If I had to take the photo again I would try to make the door on the right not come in so that more attention is given to the leading lines.
The photo has a good angle and the sky looks nice and bright which helps to show the architecture well.
If you look closely the rule of thirds is almost being used horizontally due to the fence. The basketball net grabs the viewer's eye and there is a use of negative space.
This photo is one of my favourites from the photoshoot because there is good depth of field. Also the fence looks sharp and the trees look dead which gives a negative and dangerous feeling.
Even if this doesn't show the school and architecture it reminds me of some of his photos in which he use the sky and trees to complement architecture.
This photo slightly reminds me of Steve McCurry's photos as the area looks rundown. The photo looks like its been taken in a forest which has a old house in.
The photo has many diagonals, I like how the trees are on either side of the building. I was inspired by Simon Kennedy's style and attempted to use trees and the sky to complements architecture. Also, Simon takes photos with new buildings and this looks new too.
I tried to take the photo in the style of Steve McCurry he usually takes his photos in old looking areas which indicate the photos have been taken in developing countries or rundown areas.
The photo on the left to this is very similar but this on is slightly less exposed, I used a low ISO on here to show how different lighting can give different feelings on the left the scene looks more bright and positive but this photo looks like it is in a slightly old or run down area which indicates negativity.
The depth of field and detail on the tree is good. Also, the brick orangey red and grass green are not far from being complementary colours.
The photo has leading lines, it is taken from a high point which helps to see the whole scene well. If I could take the picture again I would try to make the light and the leading lines both be exactly in the centre.
This picture reminds me of Simon Kennedy's pictures there are many diagonals and the picture is focused on the architecture.
The photo is very under exposed however , other than that I like it as the reflection is good and because the area looks run down which reminds me of Steve McCurry's styles.
Here are the photographers I was inspired by and who I tried to follow the style and themes of:
